AUBURN, ME– Former State Senator Eric Brakey’s campaign for Maine’s 2nd Congressional District seat has seen a major influx of cash since he officially announced his candidacy on September 17th.
The campaign has raised $315, 000 in the third FEC quarter, which ended on Monday September 30, 2019. That number is likely to go even higher as more donations come in that are counted in the just-concluded quarter.
“I believe in a Free Maine and a Free America,” said Eric Brakey.
“The huge outpouring of support for our campaign is not only a ringing rejection of the socialist policies embraced by our current Congressman, it is a loud and clear message that we the people are taking the fight for our freedoms and paychecks directly into the halls of Washington, D.C.”
Eric Brakey is running for the Republican nomination to face Democrat Congressman Jared Golden in the general election. Currently, Eric Brakey is the only Republican that has entered the race for the second district.
