Nearly $650,000 has been raised by the campaign to date, nearly triple the combined total of all primary opponents

LEWISTON, ME – The Brakey for Congress campaign is proud to announce its first quarter fundraising totals. The campaign raised nearly $140,000 in Q1, bringing the total amount the campaign has raised to just shy of $650,000.

With over 700 individual contributors in the State of Maine, the Brakey for Congress campaign has raised nearly triple the amount of all other GOP primary candidates combined — and nearly double in the first quarter alone. The Brakey campaign also maintains the most cash on hand of all GOP primary contenders.

In addition to fundraising strength, the Brakey Campaign maintains the most active ground game with grassroots supporters. Prior to the coronavirus lockdown, Brakey supporters knocked on over 35,000 doors across the 2nd District. In the current environment, those energies have shifted to calling voters at their homes.

With strong fundraising, hardworking grassroots and a clear message of freedom, Eric Brakey is in the strongest position to win his party’s nomination and defeat Jared Golden in November.

Statement from Eric Brakey:
“Maine Republicans are uniting behind our campaign because I am a proven champion for the freedoms and paychecks of all Maine people. In the Maine Senate, I led the charge to successfully reform welfare, expand healthcare freedom and restore gun rights. As the next Congressman for northern Maine, I will continue leading the charge for a Free Maine and a Free America.”
